The folder to upload to can be either /public_html or /www . /www is actually a link to /public_html . This would be your publicly viewable folder.

To upload a cgi script, please upload it to /public_html/cgi-bin. To run the script you can go to your domain at http://www.yourdomain.com/cgi-bin/script.pl to run it. You see two cgi-bin because they are actually the same as explained above. Either place will do.

At the same time, one common issue is the permission settings. Please ensure that you set all your Cgi files to permission 755 in order for it to operate correctly.
